Students Present Year-Long Research at Celebration of Creative Inquiry 2023 Posted on June 1st, 2023 by

Gustavus Adolphus College students and professors gather to recognize and highlight Gustie’s research throughout this academic year.

On Friday, May 5th, Gustavus Adolphus College students across many disciplines gathered to present their research from throughout the year at the Celebration of Creative Inquiry.

Students presented research from biology, chemistry, psychological science, art history, environmental/geography/earth sciences, education, biochemistry, classical studies, nursing, political science, religion, sociology, English, and Scandinavian studies.

Celebration of Creative Inquiry allows students the opportunity to share their research with members of the Gustavus Community. This experience helps to teach students professional skills as they explain their research process and findings in poster and oral presentation formats.

Students, faculty, and staff attended Celebration of Creative Inquiry and engaged in lively discussions about students’ work.

It was rewarding to be able to walk around and see friends’ and classmates’ projects and what they have been working on during the year or semester. It’s also fun to be able to summarize your entire, year-long project into one poster or presentation to see how far you have come” said Kimberly Hareland ‘23.

For some students, this was their first time presenting research while others had presented their work to national and international professional audiences.

This conference is a great opportunity for students to showcase their hard work and dedication to their projects over the year. Celebration of Creative Inquiry is an inspiring event for current and future researchers and will continue to influence in the years to come.
